Aay, Committee Kurrollu, Mr. Bachchan Released in OTT On Same Day

Last month, three Telugu films saw theatrical releases, and now the three movies are set to premiere on OTT platforms on same day. Ram Pothineni’s Double iSmart debuted on Prime Video but hasn’t garnered much attention. However, Niharika Konidela’s production Committee Kurrollu received positive feedback and did well at the box office.

Meanwhile, Narne Nithin Aye was a quiet success, bringing solid profits to its producers. In contrast, Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bachchan, despite high expectations, failed to impress at the box office, leading to significant losses.

All three films are now scheduled for an O-T-T release on September 12. Aye and Mr. Bachchan will debut on Netflix, while Committee Kurrollu will be available on ETV Win. There is considerable anticipation around Aye and Committee Kurrollu, which are expected to entertain family audiences. However, it’s uncertain how Mr. Bachchan will perform on streaming platforms.

The global collections for Committee Kurrollu have reached 18 crores, and Aye has grossed around 15 crores. Bunny Vas, fresh off the success of Aye, has now shifted focus to his upcoming film Thandell with Naga Chaitanya. Planned as a pan-India release, Thandell is scheduled for release on December 20, and expectations are already high.

On the other hand, Niharika Konidela, riding on the success of her debut production, is preparing her next project. As a first-time producer, her success has sparked curiosity about her upcoming films, leaving the audience eager to see what she delivers next.
